Job Description

Scheduler - Full-Time 1st Shift BrookHaven Retirement Community Brookville, OH Brookhaven Retirement Community MUST be an STNA May be asked to assist in direct care as needed
Position Summary:
Maintains nursing department schedules and in-servicing while tracking budgeted hours.
Essential Functions:
Because Brookhaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one's feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift frequently a minimum of 10 pounds and up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally
Leadership:
Ability to take actions and achieve results through others Commitment to Brookhaven's mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others Must maintain confidentiality of all employee information Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
Position Responsibilities:
Must follow Brookhaven Policy and Procedures Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements Monitor nursing department hours daily Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors Assists in payroll processing All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills recommended. Customer service, administrative and organizational skills required. Experience with scheduling for a nursing department required. Current STNA License
