Job Description

This is a temporary seasonal position, generally lasting from October through November. The exact length of employment and weekly hours will depend on harvest conditions and business needs. Seasonal employees receive double-time pay for all Sunday hours worked. Legacy Farmers Cooperative is hiring dependable Seasonal Grain Operations Associates to support our Mt. Blanchard grain facility during the busy harvest season. This is a hands-on position that assists with grain receiving, facility maintenance, customer service, and daily grain operations. Seasonal schedules will vary based on harvest conditions and business needs. Applicants must be available to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Assist customers with unloading grain. Support grain receiving and grain-handling operations. Collect grain samples and assist with grain grading. Help maintain safe, clean, and organized facilities. Perform general housekeeping throughout the facility. Assist with loading grain trains and railcars when assigned. Open and close railcar lids as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Dependable attendance and punctuality are required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work a flexible seasonal schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be available to work in increments of at least three hours when scheduled. Previous grain, agricultural, warehouse, or general labor experience is helpful but not required. Physical and Work Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, squat, twist, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Work outdoors in changing weather conditions. Work in dusty and noisy grain-handling environments. Work around moving equipment and, when required, at elevated heights.
Pay:
