Location Description The Post Consumer Brands plant in Tremonton, Utah is part of the company's West Coast network, with more than 220 team members supplying Malt-O-Meal bag cereals, PEBBLES cereals, and more to a variety of retailers. Work Schedule :
12-hour shifts (4:15 am to 4:30 pm) following a 2-2-3 schedule (Week one: two days on, two days off, three days on.
Week two:
two days off, two days on, three days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work. Experienced specialist in production or material handling that has full responsibility for the overall performance and meeting targets set for the assigned unit of operation. Capable of understanding and performing essential repairs, adjustments and performing/coordinating preventative maintenance. Responds appropriately to upset conditions. Requires considerable judgment in determining work methods, performing daily tasks, and improving processes using data driven decisions. May have full responsibility in minor projects. Provides work direction to Level 2 support team.
Primary Responsibilities :
Ensures operations within assigned unit are efficient and meet assigned targets. Provides work direction to operator support to optimize operations. Maintains and demonstrates a high level of technical understanding regarding individual process and impact on yield, rate, and availability. Performs and leads timely and efficient equipment, material and product change overs within standard time and in a safe manner Identifies, corrects or escalates performance conditions that negatively impact safety, quality, rate, yield, and uptime. Actively participates in root cause analysis and drives corrective actions through resolution. Thorough knowledge and understanding of SQF requirements, including ability to determine resolution of upset conditions Supports, directs and performs Basic Equipment Care (BEC) tasks accurately and on time. Records accurate data required for measuring overall performance of the assigned unit. Identifies and drives continuous improvement opportunities. Participates in all related programs improving product quality, efficiency and related preventative maintenance programs. Supports, implements, and maintains food safety and quality practices as required through SQF, AIB or other requirements. Maintains clean work areas, performs sanitation audits and develops action plans to correct problem areas. Works in rotation as a member of production or distribution team. Trains and coaches other employees learning new equipment, processes and/or procedures. Responsible for sign off of new employee training documentation, ensuring employee is competent in assigned task. Directs warehouse team in receiving, storage, PPA, selection and shipping Act as back up to Operations Lead. Participates in special projects, assignments, and trainings. Assists in other areas of the operation upon request.
Qualifications Qualifications and Competencies:
High School Diploma or
GED. 1-2
years of manufacturing or related experience is a plus. Advanced level mechanical knowledge to include the ability to learn and operate all related production equipment. Ability to follow detailed work instructions. Ability to provide work direction to ensure efficiency across the assigned unit. Ability to recognize opportunities to drive improved line performance through continuous improvement. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to work scheduled shifts, standing, kneeling, climbing and walking for extended periods of the day; capable of repetitive gripping, pinching, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling with weight ranges up to 50 pounds; ability to perform repeated twisting, bending and reaching of upper and lower extremities; exposure to hot and/or humid environments, heights up to 30 ft., working on ladders, and confined spaces. Good work history and acceptable attendance.
