Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Carpet Cleaning Scheduler to manage customer appointments, coordinate technician schedules, optimize daily routes, process payments, and help ensure a smooth customer experience from booking through completion. This fast-paced position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding carpet, upholstery, tile, and other cleaning services. Schedule residential and commercial appointments accurately and efficiently. Gather and document customer, property, service, access, and scheduling information. Explain services, pricing, scheduling requirements, and general service expectations. Coordinate technician schedules and organize efficient daily routes. Confirm appointments and communicate arrival windows and schedule changes. Monitor the daily schedule and proactively address cancellations, delays, reschedules, or technician availability issues. Communicate job details, customer expectations, special instructions, and schedule changes to technicians. Maintain accurate customer and appointment information in company software. Follow up on estimates, inquiries, cancellations, and other unscheduled opportunities. Process customer payments, including credit card and other approved payment methods. Collect outstanding balances and follow up on unpaid invoices as needed. Ensure payments are accurately recorded and applied to customer accounts. Assist customers with questions, concerns, and service-related issues in a professional and solutions-oriented manner. Identify appropriate opportunities to recommend additional services. Monitor technician progress and help maintain productive daily schedules. Work with management to improve scheduling efficiency, customer service, payment collection, and overall operations. Perform other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in scheduling, dispatching, customer service, payment processing, sales, or a home-service business is preferred. Excellent telephone and customer service skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional, friendly, and confident demeanor. Comfortable discussing services, pricing, and payments with customers. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly. Reliable, dependable, and punctual. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, personable, and comfortable managing a busy schedule with frequent changes. This person should enjoy working with customers, communicating with technicians, solving problems, and taking ownership of keeping the daily operation running efficiently. Experience in carpet cleaning, flooring, home services, construction, or another field-service business is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, reliability, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
Pay:
$18.27 - $21.64 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
