Position Description Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping operator is responsible for efficiently operating a forklift and other rolling equipment to load outgoing trucks and arranging/staging panels and beams neatly and in a proper order to make the process flow as smoothly as possible. This position is based out of our Conway, Arkansas location. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other rolling equipment to load, unload, and transport lumber, beams, panels, and misc palletized materials. Communicate with equipment operators such that all the necessary job materials are supplied in a timely manner consistent with operational objectives Stage product at various work centers and efficiently arrange finished product neatly in proper sequence for shipping. Scan and log barcoded items into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like SAP. Perform daily equipment inspections, follow emergency evacuation plans, and adhere to safety standards, including PPE compliance, "Take 10" reviews, and accessing SDS documentation. Ensure proper, even stacking of panels, beams, and dunnage, assisting with housekeeping items during idle time, and communicating with maintenance reliability concerns. Maintain continuous communication with upstream and downstream operators and management to reach safety, quality, and production targets. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience 1-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management or a related area is required. High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge and experience operating a forklift Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills. Salary & Benefits The salary for this position is $21.00-$25.00 (USD). Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
