Primary Objective:

In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position. Clerk is responsible for daily incoming and outgoing product shipments.

Major Function and Scope:

Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate. May be required to complete tasks involving the use of forklifts and lift trucks including but not limited to: o Transporting bales from shipping dock to warehouse by way of forklift o Checking mechanics of lift truck o Safeguarding trailers before loading or unloading o Loading and unloading trucks Preparing shipping documents and reports

Entering data into the computer system

Prepare orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, maintain inventory, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship o May rolling, wrap, and tag rolls for shipment

Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock

Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies

Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary

Perform other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications:

Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Lift Truck Certification preferred Successful completion of all required on the job training

Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training

Experience operating forklifts and lift trucks preferred Knowledge of Cams and AS400 systems preferred

Knowledge of principles involved in planning and resource allocation of distribution operations

Working knowledge of MS Office

1 year experience materials planning or shipping and receiving in a manufacturing operation or administration of a distribution or warehousing operations

Competencies:
