Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description Responsible for the accurate receiving, handling, storage, and shipment of materials and products within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role includes verifying inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation; loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and other material-handling equipment; inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies; processing inventory transactions within the computer system; maintaining stock levels of packaging and shipping supplies; packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment; building custom shipping crates using basic carpentry skills; delivering materials to designated locations throughout the facility; communicating inventory or shipment issues to appropriate teams; adhering to all safety and 5S standards; and operating company vehicles as needed for supplier or post office runs. Responsibilities

+ Verify inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation.

+ Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

+ Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.

+ Process inventory transactions within the computer system.

+ Maintain stock levels of packaging and shipping supplies.

+ Package, label, and prepare materials for shipment.

+ Build custom shipping crates using basic carpentry skills.

+ Deliver materials to designated locations throughout the facility.

+ Communicate inventory or shipment issues to appropriate teams.

+ Adhere to all safety and 5S standards.

+ Operate company vehicles as needed for supplier or post office runs. Essential Skills

+ Experience in shipping and receiving.

+ Inventory control and documentation skills.

+ Proven attendance and reliability.

+ Ability to read simple instructions and memos.

+ Math calculation skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

+ Proficiency with pallet jack and forklift operations.

+ Valid Driver's License. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Shipping/Receiving experience preferred.

+ Forklift certification is a bonus, but not a requirement.
