The Receiving Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, unloading, inspection, movement, and storage of incoming raw materials, components, packaging materials, finished goods, and other supplies. This position primarily operates a forklift and other material-handling equipment to support Receiving, Warehouse, Production, and Inventory operations while maintaining accurate records and following company safety, quality, and GMP requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and other shipments. Verify products, quantities, labels, and documentation against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving records. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely unload, transport, stage, and store materials throughout the warehouse. Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to the supervisor. Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues to the supervisor. Label, organize, and put away materials in designated warehouse locations. Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records through proper documentation and system entry. Transport materials to designated warehouse and production areas as needed. Assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities. Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and warehouse area. Follow all company policies, SOPs, GMP guidelines, safety procedures, and PPE requirements. Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, or picking/packing experience preferred. Forklift experience required; must complete company-required forklift certification/training. Ability to read and follow instructions, labels, and work orders in English. Basic math, computer, and inventory/data-entry skills. Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 50-65 pounds as required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (hot and cold environments). Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed.
