In person About the Opportunity Windy City Organics is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Shipping & Fulfillment Team in Northbrook. In this role, you'll help ensure that both our retail/e-commerce and wholesale customer orders are processed accurately, packed carefully, and shipped on time. This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, works efficiently, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced team. Previous shipping, order fulfillment, warehouse, or e-commerce experience is helpful, but not required. We're willing to train reliable individuals who are ready to learn. What You'll Do Process and fulfill daily retail, e-commerce, and wholesale customer orders. Pick products accurately according to customer orders and packing lists. Pack products securely and appropriately for shipment. Print and apply shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation. Prepare both individual parcel shipments and larger wholesale orders. Verify product quantities, SKUs, lot information, and order accuracy before shipment. Prepare cartons, cases, and pallets for outgoing wholesale orders as needed. Coordinate daily shipments with carriers and shipping services. Assist with receiving, organizing, and maintaining shipping supplies. Maintain accurate shipping and order fulfillment records. Monitor orders to ensure they are completed and shipped according to required timelines. Help identify and resolve order discrepancies before shipments leave the facility. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping and fulfillment area. Follow company procedures for product handling, quality, safety, and sanitation. Work closely with production, customer service, and other team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time. Assist with other shipping and fulfillment responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented. Strong attention to order accuracy. Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality. Comfortable using computers and learning order and shipping systems. Able to read and accurately follow packing lists, shipping instructions, and customer requirements. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable handling multiple orders and priorities throughout the day. Previous experience in shipping, fulfillment, e-commerce, order processing, or distribution is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, reach, lift, pack, and move products throughout the workday.
