We are looking for a dependable and positive team player to join our candy shipping team! Our Shipping Department is looking for someone with order fulfillment, shipping experience, and excellent customer service. Attention to detail and following careful packaging instructions is a must. This is an entry level seasonal role with pay starting at $15.00 per hour. Starting rate determined by the candidate's skills and relevant experience. Seasonal part-time hours (9am - 5pm) working in North Easton, MA. Some weekend shifts are required around holidays. Seasonal end date January 15, 2027. Additional opportunities may be available after 1/15/27 based on the seasonal need. Must be available to work a minimum of 3 days/week. Must be able to work 5 days/week from Mid-November- December 2026. No driving required for this position. The Order Fulfillment and Shipping Position is responsible for performing duties to assist the Candy Makers with safely shipping out customer orders. This is not a remote position since the essential functions must be performed at the Company's facilities. • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer
• Maintain solid product knowledge to assist customers in making product selections
• Pay attention to small detail on all orders and projects
• Package products
• Handle ingredients/finished products with care
• Inspect products; remove any damaged/broken product
• Write down accurate weights, measurements and lot numbers for food traceability
• Interact professionally and in coordination with delivery drivers
• Handle ingredients and finished products with care
• Accurately count product/supplies, etc. for inventory purposes
• Report suspicious customer activity to Management
• Ensure employee awareness of safety and emergency procedures
• Report any hazards, injuries, or violations immediately to Management
• Attend and participate in employee meetings, trainings, and development as required
• Shipping online orders properly and in a timely manner (24-48 hours) to ensure safe arrival.
• Evaluating local and out of state weather to make the best decision for when to ship products.

Individual must have excellent communication and telephone skills. Individual must be able to read, write, understand and fluently and clearly speak English as required for effective teamwork and coordination to fulfill the essential functions of the job. Individual must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedure manuals. Bi-lingual skills may be helpful. Individual must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have proficient computer and numerical skills and must have the ability to read, count and write accurately. Must have the ability to make correct monetary change. Must be familiar with all aspects of Hilliards' computer/cash register program(s)/system(s). Individual must have the ability to assess situations and resolve routine matters without supervision. Must have excellent understanding of health and safety and hygiene rules. Must have good attention to detail. Must have good analytical skills to identify the nature of problems, determine what is needed to rectify problems and implement new procedures to resolve the problem. A High School degree or equivalent is preferred. Prior work experience in a Shipping capacity is preferred. Individual must be a positive team player and be courteous. Individual must be able to take instruction and constructive criticism well, work independently and demonstrate sound judgment. Individual must display a professional manner and possess good communication skills when interacting with management, co-workers and customers. Individual must have a self-awareness of their appearance/personal hygiene. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift no more than 30 pounds. Must be able to work in an environment that processes peanuts, tree nuts and other allergens. Individual must be able to move freely and easily throughout all areas of Hilliards' facilities. Individual must have the ability to work attentively and with concentration.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Individual must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule including some evening, weekend and holiday shifts to accommodate the needs of the Company.
