BW's clients include large construction firms that specialize in roadway, bridge deck, parking garage, and airport runway projects. We manufacture all our equipment in one location, at our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. BW Manufacturing is also focused on continuously improving our manufacturing processes and we have integrated sustainable practices in our work, such as ride-on equipment meeting the regulations for Tier 4 emission standards, as well as a focus on current OSHA regulations for dust containment making sure all equipment is compliant with the law.

Role:

BW Manufacturing is looking for someone with a strong attention to detail and the desire to grow with our company through hands-on experience and problem solving. The Shipper/Receiver packages and prepares outbound orders of finished products and replacement parts to go to customers and in process material to go to subcontractors. They receive incoming material from vendors and subcontractors and ensure it gets to the right location in the plant. They transact within our material planning system to record shipments and receipts. They coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight with our logistics suppliers and delivery companies. They may do local pick-ups and deliveries with the Company truck. They organize internal storage and ensure inventory is kept neat and accurate. The Shipper/Receiver will also need to have experience working with manufacturing ERP systems. Having a strong memory will be important. BW stocks over 3.500 parts which are all stored within the warehouse. They will have experience operating several types of lift truck. The Shipper/Receiver will need to learn where key parts are stored. They will be responsible for the organization of the warehouse, unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Our shipments range from parts that are boxed, to equipment that will require palletizing, wrapping, and custom packaging. They will need to work with other team members on movement of inventory throughout the shop and keep Production and Sales staff and management well informed of the status of orders and any issues that could cause problems. High school diploma or equivalent

Reading:

Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English

Mechanical:

Basic mechanical skills and desire to learn

• Must be proficient with ERP Manufacturing systems
• Previous experience operating a variety of lift trucks
• Valid driver's license

Reporting:

Reports to the Plant Manager

• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Bend, reach, lift, & climb ladders/steps
