Primary Purpose Under general supervision, is responsible for receiving, processing, distributing, and delivering incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and shipments. Position Duties
- Perform daily pick-up and drop-off of mail at USPS facilities
- Perform daily drop-off of mail & packages at FedEx, as required
- Receive and log shipments and packages
- Distribute incoming mail, packages, and shipments, including inter-office mail, to the proper recipient or administrative support section for that division/department
- Operate postage machine, bar scanner, computer, campus mail delivery vehicle, off-campus mail delivery vehicle, pallet jack, and walkie stacker
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset data
- Maintain shipping and receiving area in clean and organized manner
- Assist with annual shred event as directed
- Maintain accurate accounting of time, including vacation and sick leave; request vacation well in advance of projected use
- Perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Associate degree or combination of education and applicable work experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership skills combined with team player attitude
- Strong multi-tasking competency
- Forklift operator certification (or within six months of employment)
- Must be able to communicate effectively, follow oral and written instructions, and work independently or in a team environment
- Must have basic working knowledge of computers and associated software Supplemental Information Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview.
To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education. Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire .
Foreign Degrees:
Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.
Foreign Credential Evaluation Services:
Wayne Community College accepts foreign transcript evaluations only from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
