West Point Mill Logistics Manager Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Logistics Manager as point of contact for Production planning, CS, Supply Planners, Logistics and Mill Assume load planning responsibilities until Panther Transition is complete. Ensure all crews have the necessary tools, supplies and equipment to perform their job as safely and efficiently as possible. Assist with management of warehouse inventory levels. Inventory and ordering of all shipping supplies. Ensure housekeeping and the 5S program are performed to keep areas clean and safe. Work closely with paper mill group and the daily production batch run schedule. Work closely with area maintenance and electrical & instrumentation departments to ensure roll line and shipping areas do not have any issues that could impact production. Track and communicate any shipping complaints with crews. Assist Paperwise and quality group with complaint follow ups. Keep area procedures and forms updated in C-PRO system. Assist Logistics Manager with carrier management and relations. Assist Logistics Manager with supervision of on-site contractor who performs area spotting service and staffs the scale house. Fill in for Shipping Manager when out of office. Fill in for Logistics Manager when out of office. Weekend duty rotation for daily mill rail requirements. Qualifications /

Training:

Extensive knowledge and ability to use the Panther roll tracking system. Knowledge and ability to use JD Edwards. Knowledge and ability to use C-PRO (Compliant Pro) Knowledge and ability to use WestRock Complaint System. Knowledge and ability to use OTM/TMS (Transportation Management). Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Education /

Experience:

High School Diploma. BS Degree preferred. 3 or more years with logistics and/or production planning experience preferred.
