To maintain all aspects of merchandise donation receiving and back end operations.
The right candidate will possess excellent cash management skills with a knowledge of basic math . They will exhibit attention to detail in all areas of store function, and should have an understanding of merchandising as they price and stock donations in the ReStore. Customer Service Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service to donors and customers Show appreciation to donors and encourage them to continue to donate Human Resources Serve as driver or driver assistant as needed Evaluate receiving volunteer effectiveness and assign tasks that are rewarding and enjoyable to the volunteer Maintain positive morale among employees and volunteers Merchandise Screen donations for appropriate acceptance Assist donors in unloading donations Ensure that all donors receive an In-Kind Donation Form Ensure that merchandise is cleaned, repaired and priced for the sales floor Operations Maintain a clean, organized receiving, sales floor area Ensure that donations are processed quickly and placed on the sales floor immediately Ensure that the receiving area is secure throughout and after the workday Remix latex paint and maintain order of paint room (as needed) Complete forklift certification and operate as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Basic knowledge of building materials Comfort with the Christian identity of Habitat for Humanity Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to accommodate heavy lifting Cash handling abilities
WORK HOURS
The Receiving/ Cashier Associate is expected to work the schedule assigned by the ReStore Store Manger to provide adequate coverage for receiving/cashier associate of donations. He or she will work 24-30 hours per week unless approved overtime is deemed necessary.
THE RECEIVING/CASHIER ASSOCIATE MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS.
