Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory management, product organization, and the efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. This position will have a strong focus on inventory accuracy, warehouse slot management, space utilization, and operational efficiency. This role sits onsite Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays, regular business hours.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, put away, storage, picking, staging, and shippingManage and maintain accurate inventory levels throughout the warehouseDevelop and maintain effective warehouse slotting strategies based on product velocity, size, weight, demand, and operational requirementsRegularly evaluate and adjust warehouse locations to maximize space utilization and improve picking efficiencyEstablish and maintain organized inventory locations and ensure products are stored appropriatelyMonitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system recordsOversee cycle counting programs, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation processesIdentify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actionsEnsure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded within the warehouse management or inventory systemMonitor receiving processes to ensure incoming inventory is properly counted, inspected, labeled, and put awayOversee order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping activitiesEstablish warehouse procedures and processes designed to improve accuracy, productivity, and efficiencyMonitor warehouse capacity and proactively plan for changing inventory levels and business needsMaintain clear organization and labeling throughout the warehouseTrack inventory movement and identify slow moving, excess, obsolete, or frequently shorted inventoryPartner with purchasing, operations, sales, and other departments to ensure inventory availability and accuracyMonitor warehouse performance metrics including inventory accuracy, order accuracy, productivity, space utilization, and turnaround timesIdentify opportunities to reduce inventory loss, damage, waste, and unnecessary handlingEnsure proper handling and storage of materials and productsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environmentEnsure employees follow established safety procedures and company policiesLead, train, schedule, and develop warehouse employeesEstablish performance expectations and hold team members accountable for productivity, accuracy, and qualityCoordinate staffing and workflow based on daily and anticipated warehouse requirementsAssist with process improvement initiatives and implementation of new warehouse systems or technologiesEnsure compliance with company procedures and applicable safety and operational requirements

Qualifications3 or more years of warehouse, distribution, or inventory management experiencePrevious experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Manager, or similar leadership roleStrong experience with inventory control and inventory accuracyHands on experience with warehouse slot management and optimizationStrong understanding of warehouse layout, product placement, space utilization, and material flowExperience managing cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliationsExperience using a Warehouse Management System, ERP, or inventory management systemStrong understanding of receiving, put away, picking, staging, and shipping processesProven ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepanciesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent organizational and problem solving abilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to analyze inventory and warehouse data and use it to improve operationsProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsExperience redesigning or optimizing warehouse layoutsExperience implementing or improving warehouse slotting programsExperience working with high volume or SKU intensive inventory environmentsExperience implementing inventory control procedures and cycle count programsFamiliarity with barcode scanning, RF technology, and warehouse management systemsExperience identifying slow moving and obsolete inventoryExperience with warehouse KPIs and operational reportingPrevious experience leading warehouse process improvement initiativesKey CompetenciesInventory ManagementWarehouse SlottingInventory AccuracyWarehouse OperationsSpace OptimizationCycle CountingProcess ImprovementTeam LeadershipData AnalysisProblem SolvingOrganizationAttention to Details...Visit the Employer site for more details
