Position Overview A fast-paced organization is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Manager to oversee the preparation and shipment of customer samples, components and finished products using carriers such as FedEx, UPS and USPS. This role involves verifying shipments against shipping documents, packing goods according to specifications, preparing bills of lading and ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Additionally, the manager will assist with receiving materials by inspecting shipments, maintaining records, rejecting damaged or excess goods, and directing materials to the appropriate departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in logistics. Responsibilities include maintaining shipping documentation, utilizing small hand tools, operating scales and metering machines, and handling materials with hand trucks. Forklift operation and the use of powered industrial vehicles are also required. Candidates must successfully pass a drug screen and background check. Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming goods, match packing slips to purchase orders and distribute materials accordingly. Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, LTL systems and other carriers. Operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts, pallet jacks and tow motors. Prepare and organize shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area. Utilize computers for inventory tracking, email communication and reporting. Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Assist with local deliveries as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required Valid Michigan driver's license, CDL preferred. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Desired Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 60 lbs. for extended periods. Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment. Willingness to work overtime when needed. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Adaptability to changing priorities and work environments. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
