The prime candidate will able to hit the ground running by knowing how to ship small and large accounts from previous job experience. We work with B2C Sales, E-Commerce, Drop-Ship Accounts, and the world's Largest Retailers so knowledge of Small Parcel, LTL, and FTL shipping is an absolute "must." The role will work within a staff of 3. Furthermore, the Shipping Administrator will brainstorm with the team to improve on how our business performs by highlighting areas of improvement and gaps in service to our customers, both external and internal. Over time, this role will be a key member of our business model in assisting with efficient and reliable operation at the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ship with FedEx, UPS, DHL, LTL (ODFL, YRC, XPO, etc.) Assist with filling out Bill of Ladings and organizing LTL trucking pickups Learn the details of shipping Large Account and reduce chargebacks Dispute chargebacks received with organized formal letters and documentation Shop for competitive rate quotes for trucking Shop for competitive quotes with respect to warehouse procurement Assist administrative team in coordinating with Warehouse Manager to coordinate production and inventory stock Understand basic functionality of the accounting software and how we organize our information. Create spreadsheets to make reports and organize your work. Communicate effectively with both our warehouses over the phone and email. Brainstorm with our team ways to improve how our business performs by highlighting areas for improvement and gaps in service. Track inventory and update figures in our software. Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to understand both business and customer goals. Answer phones and emails professionally while dealing directly with customers. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills through all levels of communication. The ideal candidate is focused and has a demonstrated work ethic that includes: At least 2 years of experience or equivalent training. Ability to meet goals in an environment with freedom of direction: a self-starter. Previous warehouse and computer experience is a must. Ability to use Microsoft Windows and MS Office software. Proficiency in MS Excel is instrumental to this job. A strong understanding of business fundamentals.
