About East Cooper Community Outreach:
Founded as an emergency relief effort in 1989 after the devastation from Hurricane Hugo, East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) has since grown into a permanent resource for the community with a mission to provide assistance, guidance, and resources to help our neighbors navigate through life's challenges. Annually, over 1,500 families receive help through ECCO's Wellness Pantry, Financial Assistance, Dental & Medical Clinics, Prescription Assistance, Clothing Closet, Asset Development Program, and other services. Enhanced through personal interactions with staff who provide individualized support and coaching for each client, ECCO meets each client where they are and helps them navigate the challenges they are facing with care and compassion. ECCO is also a place where people who want to help their neighbors can find meaningful ways to share their time, talent, and treasure. Each month, more than 400 local neighbors give their time, volunteering at ECCO's campus on Six Mile Road. For more information, please visit . Position Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ECCO's ability to maintain a wellness pantry to provide clients the best variety of food, while serving them with grace and dignity. The Warehouse Manager strives to increase accuracy, efficiency and consistency within the warehouse operations to ensure safety, organization and adequate inventory levels to serve our clients. This role's main responsibilities are: Manage day-to-day inventory, receiving, rotation and distribution of wellness pantry items Ensure volunteers are adhering to processes and policies for shopping/inventory/sorting/restocking for excellent and timely client service delivery; optimize SmartChoice functionality Support the Food Drive volunteer team by providing most needed items for GBS and community food drives and coordinating bag delivery and pick up Team ECCO All members of Team ECCO must maintain the utmost professionalism to uphold organizational standards of excellence, protect client/patient confidentiality, and positively and professionally represent the organization in the community. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree + 1 year of experience OR Associate's degree + 3 years of experience OR Diploma + 8 years of experience Staff supervision experience Valid driver's license and a 10-year driving record with no major incidents

Additional skills, knowledge, and attributes that will support the successful completion of position responsibilities. Previous warehouse, grocery/retail, supply chain, and/or logistics experience Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment Ability to support warehouse volunteers and oversee daily logistical operations utilizing established SOP's Ability to proactively solve problems and quickly adapt to new situations and challenges and determine when to escalate issues and/or concerns to Director of Operations Ability to identify opportunities to streamline and implement effective, efficient systems across all operational Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team environment Ability to manage time, foster both positive and productive relationships and teamwork Ability to use Microsoft Office software and Google's workspace
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position operates in a warehouse environment and routinely uses a motor vehicle, pallet jack, lift truck, and ladder. Constant moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Frequently and daily moves donated products and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Periodic exposure to outdoor elements such as varied temperatures, precipitation, and wind. Frequent use of computer equipment. The position frequently communicates with employees, volunteers, clients, donors and the community; the ability to exchange accurate information in these situations is required. Supervisory Requirements Oversees the daily workflow of the team
  • both staff and volunteers; manages performance in accordance with ECCO policy for 1 FT and 1 PT Route Driver. Schedule Typical work hours are between 8:30 AM
  • 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday and 8:30 AM
  • 4 PM on Fridays.
Additionally, all staff are required to attend occasional special events in the evenings or on weekends.
