Job Overview:
MES is looking for a full-time Warehouse Manager to build and run our new Highlands, TX warehouse. You will own inventory, run the will-call counter, make deliveries, and keep contractors supplied and working. Pay range depends on skill set and experience, but this is a hands-on warehouse operations role. You will be the warehouse manager with a chance to build out a team as we grow.
What You Will Own:
Receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping for 1,000+ SKUs across blast, respiratory, and jobsite consumable lines Accurate inventory in
NetSuite:
receipts, transfers, adjustments, and item fulfillments entered same day, every day Weekly cycle counts and monthly full-shelf reviews, with variances researched and resolved, not just adjusted Maintaining min/max levels and reorder points, and flagging reorders before we stock out on fast movers Running the will-call counter (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekdays) and taking part in the after-hours on-call rotation Staging and loading orders for delivery, and coordinating freight, LTL, and dropships. Making local deliveries of consumables, abrasives, and equipment to customer job sites, plants, and shipyards in the Houston area Loading, securing, and unloading freight safely, including pallets, bulk bags, and hose reels Managing abrasive inventory (garnet, steel grit, coal slag) including bulk bags, pallets, and walk-in or same-day orders Cutting and coupling blast hose, air hose, and breathing air hose to customer spec Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, labeled, and safe
Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of warehouse, inventory control, or industrial supply experience, with at least 1 year leading or running a warehouse or parts counter Computer literate. Comfortable in an ERP or inventory system (NetSuite strongly preferred), Excel, and email. Experience with cycle counting, min/max replenishment, and inventory accuracy Knowledge of blasting, coatings, or industrial PPE products is a major plus Ability to drive a forklift (certification preferred) and operate shop tools, including hose cutting and crimping equipment Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as required by the job Customer-facing counter skills. Additional Requirements:
Must have a good driving record and be able to pass a drug test Due to the nature of our business, we will be in and around refineries, petrochemical plants, shipyards, and government facilities. You must be able to pass a background check to access these sites. TWIC card is preferred or must be obtainable Must be able and willing to make deliveries as part of the regular role. A CDL is not required, but it is strongly preferred. Candidates with a Class A or B CDL will be given priority. A company truck will be provided for deliveries and job site runs during working hours.
