Plans, leads, coordinates, evaluates, and controls activities of technicians and warehouse staff to ensure customer order shipment dates and equipment and quality specifications are met for North America Establishes and manages operational procedures for packing, logistics, receiving; accurate documentation; handling and disposition of materials, warehouse and shop organization, warehouse and shop maintenance, production schedules, parts availability, field service calls and related functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities. Practice continuous process improvement with an emphasize on improving efficiencies, quality and output Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment. Develops personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees. Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Defines objectives, identifies and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evaluates outcomes. Interfaces with freight companies including UPS, Fed-Ex, USPS, and Airborne to assure on-time, cost efficient delivery of national and international shipments Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system and product improvements. Plans and maintains warehouse and shop layout for operational efficiency, safety, and USPS compliant inventory control Manages the purchase of shipping supplies including cartons, labels, wraps, tape, special packaging, packing material, etc. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Analysis and reports quality, production and shipment statistics to upper management monthly Complete and review the monthly KPI scorecard for the warehouse.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; manifest shipping systems, inventory and warehousing programs; and corporate systems to track warehouse transactions.
