Full Time SummaryThe Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of DSV's transportation and logistics division, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position will be responsible for managing staff, developing, and implementing operational policies and procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners. Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all aspects of the transportation and logistics division, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.



Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.



Manage staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.



Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including productivity, cost, and quality, and develop plans to improve performance.



Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors, ensuring that all parties are informed and satisfied with the services provided.



Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and working together effectively. Educational background / Work experienceBachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or management role. Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues and challenges.



In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.



Proficiency in using transportation management software, such as TMS or WMS.Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus.

Experience in international transportation and logistics management. Language skillsFluency in English (oral and written). Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.
