Job Description
Overview:
This strategic role will be responsible for aligning demand plans with constraints that include inventory targets, manufacturing, and logistics constraints to develop a single executable operational plan. This role bridges commercial goals provided by the sales and marketing team with supply chain and operational realities (resources) across a global network to ensure high customer service levels while optimizing working capital and alleviating resource constraints. Process Leadership:
Facilitate monthly cross-functional review cycles involving Sales, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain to drive senior leadership consensus on capacity and supply plans. Analyze current network performance to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies for improvement
Network Capacity Planning:
Own capacity models, asset utilization tracking, and rough-cut capacity planning to elevate short- and long-term sufficiency against the unconstrained demand plan. Collaborate with demand planners to align supply chain activities and ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
Demand and Supply Reconciliation:
Stress-test demand changes against material, labor, and machine constraints, running simulation scenarios (what-if analyses) to mitigate bottlenecks and supply risks. Work closely with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure and document seamless operations.
Inventory Management:
Govern inventory strategies, including safety stock optimization, lead-time management, and working capital efficiency across the manufacturing and logistics network.
Performance Tracing and Continuous Improvement:
Update and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule adherence, attainment, and delivery performance (OTIF) to drive process maturity. Utilize data analytics to create KPIs, monitor and make informed decisions. Identify process improvement opportunities and best practices. What you must know | Education and experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of progressive experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, and manufacturing capacity planning within capital-intensive or global manufacturing environments. Proven experience in supply chain planning or related roles.
Certifications:
Credentials such as APICS, CPIM, or CSCP are highly desirable. Process mapping/documentation experience preferred.
