Job Description

Riverside, CA (opens in new tab) Posted 5 hours ago We are in search of a seasoned professional to lead our traffic operations for significant civil and infrastructure projects across Southern California. The role is a crucial intersection between dispatch coordination and field leadership, ensuring that our traffic operations run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with relevant standards such as those set by Caltrans and MUTCD. In this position, your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the deployment of traffic control teams and the allocation of equipment. You'll be responsible for creating and adjusting schedules, responding effectively to last-minute changes, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders involved, from crew leaders to project managers. With a primary focus on dispatch and logistics, about seventy-five percent of your effort will be in the planning and coordination of operations, while the other twenty-five percent involves active field assessments to evaluate and ensure compliance and performance of traffic control setups. You will facilitate a proactive approach to traffic flow disruptions by coordinating lane closures, detours, and safe work zones for diverse construction activities. This leadership role demands a candidate who is not only experienced in traffic control management but also possesses excellent decision-making skills under changing conditions. Strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to safety and quality make you a standout candidate. Candidates are expected to have at least five years of relevant experience and hold a valid ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification. A familiarity with California traffic control standards and procedures is essential, along with the flexibility to work varied hours and in diverse locations as projects require.
