This is a 1099 role, you will be responsible for your own taxes. Per Diem, as-needed perfect for a highly experienced professional seeking flexible, project-based work and supplemental income. The ideal candidate must have proven experience driving box trucks, a clean driving record, strong leadership skills, and comfort with technology for time tracking and payment processing. As-Needed:

This is a project-based position. Work is scheduled based on client bookings, which means the hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate weekly.

Flexibility:

You accept assignments based on your availability. This offers maximum flexibility while requiring high reliability for the shifts you commit to.

Notice:

Must be responsive to scheduling requests, with typical notice provided 24 hours before an assignment.

Compensation:

Competitive Hourly Rate ($24 - $28 based on experience) PLUS Bonus & Tips ( average $30-$100 a day ) Key Responsibilities 1.

Leadership & Crew Management Team Supervision:

Lead a crew of 2-4 Moving Helpers, ensuring clear communication, safety compliance, and high productivity throughout the move.

Logistics Planning:

Strategically plan the loading and unloading process at each location, maximizing truck space and minimizing risk of damage.

Training & Coaching:

Provide on-the-job training to new crew members and maintain professional standards within the team. 2.

Driving & Vehicle Operations Safe Operation:

Safely drive and maneuver commercial box trucks (up to 26-foot ) in various traffic and weather conditions.

Pre-Trip Inspection:

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs), ensuring the truck is clean, fueled, and road-ready.

Navigation:

Efficiently navigate to client locations using GPS and route planning tools. 3.

Administrative & Financial Duties Time Management:

Utilize our company app to accurately punch in and out at the job location and track helper hours.

Customer Payment:

Handle the collection of final customer payment (via card terminal, app, or cash) and process necessary paperwork.

Documentation:

Review and confirm the moving inventory and job scope with the customer before and after the move. Required Qualifications Driving Experience (Mandatory): Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience driving commercial box trucks (non-CDL required).

Valid Driver's License:

Must possess a clean and valid standard driver's license.

Leadership Experience:

Prior experience leading a team, preferably in moving, logistics, construction, or warehousing.

Technical Proficiency:

Comfortable using smartphone apps for time tracking, payment processing, and basic job communication.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to repeatedly lift items, stand, and maneuver furniture for long periods.

Customer Service:
