Seniors Adult Daycare Center, LLC Location:
Norwalk, Connecticut Caring for Seniors Adult Daycare Center is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to safely transport seniors and adults with disabilities to and from our center. The shuttle may carry up to 14 passengers. This team member will also help with center activities and oversee the shuttle's day-to-day care. Responsibilities Drive participants safely and on time for scheduled pickups, drop-offs, and approved outings. Assist participants when entering and exiting the shuttle, including those who use mobility aids. Secure passengers and mobility equipment properly. Conduct and document routine vehicle safety checks. Keep the shuttle clean, monitor maintenance needs, and promptly report or arrange needed service. Maintain accurate transportation, mileage, and incident records. Communicate delays, participant concerns, and safety issues promptly to center leadership. When transportation duties are complete, assist staff with activities, meals, and participant engagement at the center. Qualifications Previous professional driving experience required; experience transporting seniors or people with disabilities strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company and insurance requirements. Any license, endorsement, or training required for the vehicle and transportation service. Experience assisting passengers with mobility needs and securing mobility equipment preferred. Dependable, patient, professional, and comfortable working directly with older adults and people with disabilities. Able to assist passengers safely and respond appropriately in an emergency.
