Hancock County, PN:

20050746 INTERNAL POSTING - Open to current Permanent ODOT Employees. Five (5) day posting. Supervises assigned employees in county & establishes & implements operational plan, develops short range plans to implement policies to include establishing work priorities, which include work schedules, coordinating equipment needs, establish standard operating procedures (SOP), evaluates work unit practices and recommends long term changes in work practice trends; makes necessary policy & procedure changes. Provides technical advice to staff; establishes material & manpower costs and time to complete projects; coordinates administrative functions with special projects garages as required; works with Safety personnel to review injury & accident claims. Assures accuracy of data entered into transportation management system (TMS). Operates automobile to inspect highways to determine condition & maintenance required to preserve the highway in a safe & acceptable condition; operates heavy motorized equipment to evaluate condition & determine necessary repairs; inspects equipment for proper operation & upkeep; schedules equipment maintenance.
