JOB SUMMARY
The Fleet Specialist is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and compliance of all company vehicles. This role ensures that the fleet operates efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting business needs and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fleet Operations & Management
  • Manage daily operations of all company vehicles.
  • Monitor fleet performance and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and inspected on schedule. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driver qualification files, licensing, and training records. Asset Tracking
  • Oversee asset tracking and reporting within Asset Panda
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, including driver and vehicle requirements
  • Oversee and maintain required filings, including; UCR (Unified Carrier Registration) MCS filings (Motor Carrier Servies/USDOT updates)
  • Track and manage vehicle registrations, renewals, and licensing across all states
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all fleet compliance requirements. Fuel & Gas Card Management
  • Oversee all fuel card programs, including setup, controls, and monitoring
  • Analyze fuel usage by vehicle, driver, and job to identify inefficiencies or misuse
  • Implement controls and reporting to reduce fuel costs and prevent abuse
  • Provide regular fuel analytics and reporting to leadership GPS Tracking & Trip Analytics
  • Monitor and analyze GPS/telematics data for all vehicles
  • Review trip reports to ensure proper usage, routing efficiency, and driver accountability
  • Identify trends in idle time, unauthorized use, and inefficiencies This position is structured with a clear path for advancement.
As proficiency grows in understanding fleet assets, your responsibilities will expand into maintenance & repairs program, financial oversight, reporting, accountability & cost control, providing a direct opportunity to expand your talents.

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

  • Mainly in-office (some travel in town)
