Job Description

A fleet shop parts Administrator directs procurement, inventory and distribution of components required to maintain and repair commercial vehicles or fleet equipment. This position has one direct report: part clerk and the position reports directly to the Fleet and Shop Maintenance Managers. Responsibilities Inventory management
  • monitor stock part levels, track part usage in real time and adjust inventory levels as required to prevent over stock and shortages. Perform weekly inventory counts, and adjust parts accordingly. Procurement and sourcing
  • source parts from vendors, compare prices, negotiate best possible price when available, Issue and receive purchase orders, track warranty and core returns and return to the vendor in the allotted amount of time. Technician support
  • coordinate directly with mechanics, that the right parts are ordered, issued , and charged to the active repair orders, work on eliminating all parts related delays in the repair process. Vendor management
  • maintain relationships with outside suppliers, dealerships, and parts runners both internal and external.
Required Skills Proficiency with fleet management software, heavy-duty parts software, and inventory databases. Strong organizational , negotiation, and communication skills. Deep knowledge of heavy-duty, Truck , and Trailer Parts. Required Experience We are looking for a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in either dealer, fleet or aftermarket parts center.
