Low Voltage Crew Leader About All Pro Audio Video All Pro Audio Video is a trusted provider of low-voltage solutions for commercial and residential customers. We specialize in surveillance systems, access control, structured cabling, networking, intercom systems, VoIP phone systems, and professional audio/video installations. Position Summary All Pro Audio Video is seeking an experienced and motivated Low Voltage Crew Leader to oversee installation crews and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on low-voltage installation experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate daily job-site activities. This position requires someone who can lead by example, support and train technicians, communicate professionally with customers and project contacts, and take responsibility for the quality and progress of assigned projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise low-voltage installation crews on commercial and residential projects. Coordinate daily job-site activities, technician assignments, and project priorities. Review project scopes, blueprints, floor plans, and structured cabling drawings. Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, fiber-optic, and other low-voltage cabling. Install and configure surveillance cameras, access control systems, networking equipment, intercoms, VoIP systems, and audio/video equipment. Program and troubleshoot IP-based systems and network-connected devices. Verify that installations meet project requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards. Monitor project progress and communicate updates, concerns, material needs, and potential delays to management. Maintain accurate project documentation, including test results, equipment information, notes, photographs, and completed work. Train, mentor, and provide direction to junior technicians and installers. Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, project managers, and other trades. Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Ensure the crew follows company safety procedures and proper installation practices. Assist with troubleshooting, service calls, system testing, and project closeout. Perform minor repairs, equipment assembly, mounting, general maintenance, and other related field tasks as needed. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of low-voltage installation experience , with additional experience preferred for a leadership position. Experience leading, training, or directing technicians in the field. Working knowledge of surveillance systems, access control, structured cabling, networking, and IP-based equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and project scopes. Ability to organize daily work and keep projects moving efficiently. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while also leading and supporting a team. Professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to safely lift, carry, mount, and install low-voltage equipment. Comfortable working from ladders and lifts at heights generally ranging from 8 to 30 feet. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a crew leader, lead technician, foreman, or field supervisor. Experience coordinating small to medium-sized low-voltage projects. Certifications related to low voltage, networking, surveillance, or security systems. Relevant certifications may include CompTIA, IPVM, BICSI, manufacturer-specific training, or similar credentials. Familiarity with cable certifiers, network testers, multimeters, tone generators, and network analyzers. Experience documenting project progress, testing results, service work, and completed installations. Knowledge of applicable low-voltage installation standards and job-site safety practices. Work Schedule The standard work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional weekend work may be required, typically only a few times per year. Weekend work will be communicated and scheduled in advance whenever possible. Some projects may require schedule adjustments based on customer needs, job-site availability, or project deadlines.
