Position Overview We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Landscape Installation Crew Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on, working leadership role for an experienced professional who takes immense pride in their work, understands premium landscape construction, and excels at running a crew efficiently from site prep to final walkthrough. Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Lead day-to-day job site operations alongside a 2-4 person crew. Allocate labor and materials efficiently, mentor crew members in proper techniques, and ensure all work meets company quality standards.
Hardscape Construction:
Direct and perform the installation of high-end paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, natural stonework, steps, fire features, and custom outdoor living areas.
Softscape Installation:
Oversee site grading, drainage solutions, soil preparation, finish grading, and the planting of premium trees, shrubs, perennials, and turf.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors, and masonry saws. Oversee daily pre-shift equipment checks and maintenance logs.
Job Site Ownership:
Maintain an organized, safe, and professional job site. Communicate project progress, needs, and solutions effectively with management and property owners.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
3+ years of hands-on experience in landscape installation, hardscaping, or site construction. 1+ years in a leadership capacity (Crew Lead, Foreman, or Lead Installer). Proven ability to read blueprints, follow construction plans, and set elevation lines. Strong operating skills with skid steers, mini-excavators, and standard installation equipment. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Physical ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions and lift/move up to 75 lbs regularly.
Preferred:
Background in high-end residential installation and custom natural stone work. Solid understanding of grading, drainage systems, and laser layout tools. Chauffeur's license, CDL, or experience safely towing equipment trailers.
