SUMMARY:

Roebuck Landscaping is entering an exciting new chapter of growth. We are seeking an exceptional Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to become the face of our operations in this new territory. This is far more than leading a maintenance crew. You'll be trusted to operate independently, uphold the Roebuck Landscaping standard, build strong customer relationships, and serve as the on-site leader representing our company every day. While our leadership team will provide regular support and coaching, you'll have the unique opportunity to help establish our Columbia presence from the ground up. CAREER PATH

This is more than a Crew Leader position. The individual selected for this role will become the foundation of our Columbia operation. As Roebuck Landscaping continues to expand throughout the Midlands, this position is expected to evolve into: Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader -> Operations Manager - Columbia As we add customers, crews, equipment, and team members, you'll play a key role in building our culture, developing future leaders, and helping establish one of Roebuck Landscaping's newest branches. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Landscape Maintenance Operations:

Lead by example by working alongside your crew each day to maintain commercial properties to the Roebuck Landscaping standard Operate commercial zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, push mowers, string trimmers (weed eaters), edgers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscape maintenance equipment. Perform routine commercial landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, line trimming, blowing, pruning, shrub trimming, debris removal, bed maintenance, and seasonal cleanups. Utilize push mowers in designated customer areas where larger equipment cannot safely or effectively operate. Maintain exceptional curb appeal by ensuring every property is clean, detailed, and professionally maintained before leaving the site. Inspect each property for quality, safety hazards, irrigation concerns, storm damage, dead plant material, and enhancement opportunities, communicating findings to leadership promptly. Crew Leadership & Accountability Complete work safely, efficiently, and within scheduled labor hours. Monitor labor efficiency and proactively communicate any concerns before they become problems. Ensure equipment, vehicles, and job sites remain clean, organized, and operating safely. Identify property concerns beyond the scheduled scope and communicate opportunities or issues to leadership

Customer Experience:

Build positive relationships with property managers and customers. Serve as the day-to-day on-site representative for Roebuck Landscaping. Quickly communicate customer concerns, quality issues, property damage, safety concerns, or enhancement opportunities. Represent the Roebuck Landscaping brand with professionalism and urgency

FIRST YEAR EXPECTATIONS

Successfully leading our first Columbia maintenance crew Personally perform landscape maintenance work alongside your crew while establishing the Roebuck Landscaping standard in a new market. Consistently deliver clean, detailed commercial properties with outstanding curb appeal. Maintain labor efficiency, scheduled production hours, and quality expectations on every property. Identifying opportunities for operational improvements and future growth Helping lay the foundation for additional crews and future branch expansion.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of commercial landscape maintenance experience required. Previous Crew Leader, Foreman, or Lead Crew Member experience strongly required. Proven ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment, including zero-turn mowers, push mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and customer service skills. Dependable, accountable, and committed to maintaining the Roebuck Landscaping standard every day

Pay:

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
