Full Time Regular Manual Labor

  • Your Responsibilities as a
Test Hole Crew Lead:
  • + Lead daily vacuum excavation (test hole) operations in support of SUE projects.
+ Properly set up and secure the test hole work area to maintain a safe work zone. + Safely operate vacuum excavation systems to daylight/expose utilities. + Read and interpret as-built plans, field notes, and utility maps to guide field decisions. + Identify and mark the location of exposed utilities (material, size, orientation, condition). + Demonstrate advanced mastery of documentation using: + Field sketches + Photographs + GPS tools and electronic field equipment + Document test holes, utility positions, depths, and conditions accurately and consistently. + Perform proper backfill procedures to ensure site restoration and compaction. + Coordinate with supervisors and project managers to meet schedules and production targets. + Maintain company equipment, tools, and supplies; communicate additional needs and repair issues promptly. + Support safety protocols, job hazard awareness, and protection of existing infrastructure.
  • What We Need From You (Our Requirements):
  • + Proficient ability to read and interpret as-builts, field notes, and utility maps.
+ Proficient ability to document utility exposures using electronic equipment, sketches, and photos. + Demonstrated ability to safely operate vacuum excavation equipment and lead field operations. + Ability to use a computer/tablet/phone for documentation and to send/receive email. + Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. + Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with supervisors/project managers. + Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and ability to work independently in the field. + Must be physically able to work a 10-hour day in cold, hot and wet environments. + A Four day / 10 hour a day work week is standard. Occasional overtime and 5 or 6 day work weeks can be required.
Hourly Rate:
$22-28/hr depending upon experience.
