Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Bloomington, IL. This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, working with carriers, tracking deliveries, maintaining shipping documentation, and ensuring products are delivered accurately, on time, and at the best possible cost. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys problem-solving, communicates well with customers and vendors, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesOutbound Logistics Coordinate LTL, truckload, parcel, and container shipments. Select carriers and routing options to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Prepare bills of lading, shipping documents, and customs paperwork as needed. Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues. Communicate shipment status and delivery information to customers and internal teams. Verify shipping accuracy and ensure orders are complete before shipment. Maintain shipping records and documentation. Inbound Logistics Coordinate inbound shipments from suppliers and vendors. Monitor deliveries and address transportation or scheduling issues. Work with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely receipt of materials and products. Arrange customer returns and inbound freight when necessary. General Duties Maintain accurate shipping logs and records. Generate and analyze logistics-related reports. Work closely with warehouse, production, sales, and customer service teams. Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of logistics, transportation, shipping, warehouse, or supply chain experience. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and reliable work history. Preferred Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field. Experience with ERP or MRP systems. Knowledge of LTL, truckload, parcel, and international shipping processes. Forklift experience or certification. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently. Ability to occasionally lift heavier items with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel as needed. Ability to work in warehouse and office environments.
Pay:
From $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
