Shipping Coordinator Location:
Covington, LA Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Hours:
8:30 AM-5:00 PM, depending on business needs
Pay:

About the Role WMG is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will play an important role in ensuring our customers receive the equipment and support they need, while keeping our warehouse and inventory operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, proactive, and genuinely enjoys helping people. A Day in the Life As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse activities, including:
Outbound Shipping:
Pack and prepare hardware for customer installations and repairs, create shipping labels, and communicate with customers regarding tracking information and general order inquiries.
Customer & Carrier Support:
Investigate and resolve shipping issues reported by customers and carriers, keeping everyone informed throughout the process.
Inbound Receiving:
Receive new inventory, process returned equipment, and properly put away items in the warehouse.
Delivery Coordination:
Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate shipments to ensure equipment arrives where and when it is needed.
Asset Tagging & Management:
Apply asset tags to new hardware, enter equipment into the inventory system, and update the status of returned hardware.
Warehouse Management:
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and perform weekly inventory counts to ensure physical inventory matches system records.
Inventory Accuracy:
Keep inventory information accurate and up to date in the company's systems.
System Provisioning:
Image system hard drives and prepare equipment for deployment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure shipments are handled promptly and nothing is missed. What We're Looking For Core Skills Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn and confidently use new software and technology. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Communication & Customer Service Professional and effective verbal and written communication with employees, customers, and vendors. A positive, patient, and helpful attitude, even in a fast-paced environment. A genuine desire to provide excellent customer service. Mindset Proactive and dependable. Takes ownership of problems and follows them through to resolution. Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team member. Preferred Experience Previous experience working with inventory management systems. Experience with Salesforce. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience. Preferred experience is helpful but not required. We're willing to train the right person. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation to our Covington, LA office. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stack boxes and pallets. Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Availability to work approximately 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, depending on business needs.
