Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of ProSource of New Orleans, including warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, receiving, order staging, customer and installer pickups, safety, and service coordination. This position leads the operations team and works closely with Account Managers, vendors, and leadership to ensure materials move accurately and efficiently from receipt through customer pickup or delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage people, maintain strong operational standards, solve problems quickly, and continually improve workflow, organization, safety, and customer service. Salary is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse and operational activities, including receiving, staging, order preparation, pickups, inventory movement, and material organization. Lead, train, schedule, and provide day-to-day direction to warehouse and operations employees. Ensure orders are accurately received, documented, located, staged, and ready when promised. Maintain strong inventory controls, including cycle counts, product location accuracy, and investigation of inventory discrepancies. Coordinate with Account Managers and other team members to resolve order, material, and service issues. Help ensure customer, installer, and vendor interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. Monitor workflow, staffing, productivity, and operational priorities to keep the department running effectively. Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready warehouse and ProShop environment. Enforce safe work practices, forklift procedures, material-handling standards, and Company safety expectations. Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and accountability for operations employees. Identify and implement improvements to workflow, organization, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency. Coordinate deliveries, pickups, vendor activity, and other operational needs as required. Serve as a point of escalation for operational issues and communicate concerns to leadership promptly. Support special projects, inventory events, facility needs, and other operational initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Previous warehouse, operations, distribution, or inventory-management experience required; supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to set expectations, hold employees accountable, and develop a productive team. Excellent organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail, particularly with inventory and order accuracy. Comfortable using computers and technology, with the ability to learn Company software and inventory systems. Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, sales employees, and leadership. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Flooring, construction materials, building products, or distribution experience preferred. Forklift experience or familiarity with warehouse material-handling equipment preferred. Ability to work in a warehouse environment and assist with physical operational needs when necessary.
