Job Overview MagTech is currently hiring a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor for a client with operations in the Taylor Michigan . We are seeking an experienced warehouse and logistics professional to oversee day-to-day shipping and receiving operations across multiple locations . This position will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving personnel, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience , along with previous leadership or supervisory experience. Responsibilities Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including inbound deliveries and outbound shipments. Manage and provide direction to Shipping and Receiving Clerks. Coordinate logistics, shipment preparation, transportation, and delivery requirements. Oversee the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materials. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, condition, and quality. Review order information for completeness and accuracy prior to shipment. Schedule employee hours and assignments to maintain proper coverage and productivity. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal departments to resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies. Ensure shipping and receiving activities comply with company procedures and applicable requirements. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, work orders, packing documentation, and shipping orders . Train employees on proper material handling, shipping/receiving procedures, and workplace safety. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment. Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. Assist with resolving inventory, delivery, and shipment-related issues. Ensure accurate recordkeeping within company computer systems. Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field preferred. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes and documentation. Experience coordinating freight, carriers, deliveries, and warehouse activities. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to effectively schedule, train, and manage warehouse personnel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills and ability to work within inventory, shipping, or business software systems. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with warehouse operations.
