Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure inventory and donations are properly received, processed, organized and recorded. Stock choice pantry daily; Make sure all stock is properly rotated; Order necessary inventory to service weekly number of guests; Coordinate with Community Food Bank for available items; Train all support staff and volunteers to support warehouse operations; Drive CFA's box truck or van to pick up and transport food; Maintain a neat and clean warehouse and operate CFA's forklift and pallet jack.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Sort food deliveries and off-load as they arrive, recording all expiration dates
  • Track inventory and request needed items from the Director of Warehouse Operations
  • Stock the CFA Choice Pantry with available inventory on a daily basis
  • Track food donations and maintain all records; Coordinate monthly with Finance Director on amounts
  • Order from Community Food Bank keep records of orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and ensure all food is handled in accordance with safety guidelines and CFA requirements
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained
  • Provide oversight to warehouse volunteer staff
  • Work with volunteers and staff on special activities/events both on and off site
  • Move inventory in and out of warehouse
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with special events as needed
  • Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2-5+ years of warehouse experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (PantrySoft)
  • Strong computer skills (must know MS Excel)
  • Experience with driving a forklift
  • Must be able to complete NJMVC medical exam and self-certification to obtain required Commercial Driver's License.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for direct donor and guest contact; must be able to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Forklift Certification
  • Commercial Driver's License Certification
  • Ability to speak Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Warehouse size is approximately 10,000 square feet
  • Must be able to routinely lift cases of more than 50 pounds
  • Must be able to push/pull pallets of 2000 lbs.
  • Must be available to attend at least two CFA events per year, one of which must include the Run/Walk event.

$45,000.00
