The Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd Shift is responsible for leading second shift warehouse operations Industries' Cincinnati facility. This role oversees daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and team leadership, ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and a safe work environment throughout the shift. The Warehouse Supervisor provides direct leadership and direction to warehouse associates, coordinates workflow, monitors productivity, and serves as the primary on-site leader for second shift operations. This position requires a strong balance of leadership, organization, problem-solving, and hands-on warehouse involvement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, coach, and support second shift warehouse employees.
Assign daily work priorities and monitor task completion.
Conduct employee training and cross-training activities.
Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment.
Assist with onboarding and development of new employees.
Provide performance feedback and partner with management on employee performance matters.
Lead daily shift meetings and communicate priorities and expectations. Warehouse Operations
Oversee daily receiving, inventory transfers, and replenishment activities.
Ensure inventory is accurately stocked and maintained within designated locations.
Coordinate inventory consolidation and warehouse organization efforts.
Prepare and stage priority customer orders for shipment.
Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet operational demands.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards. Inventory Control
Perform and oversee cycle counts and inventory audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Ensure accurate inventory transactions within company systems.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency. Safety & Compliance
Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure employees follow company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
Conduct routine safety observations and inspections.
Participate in accident investigations and corrective action planning.
Support forklift and equipment training initiatives.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Communication & Reporting
Provide detailed shift turnover information to warehouse leadership.
Communicate operational issues, staffing concerns, and inventory challenges to management.
Track and report key warehouse performance metrics.
Collaborate with Operations, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and other departments to support business objectives. Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience.
Previous experience as a Lead, Team Lead, or in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
Experience operating warehouse equipment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
