Job Description

Construction Warehouse & Inventory Lead Executive Construction Homes, LLC Elgin, SC | Greater Columbia, SC Job Sites Full-Time | In Person | Weekly Pay About Executive Construction Homes Executive Construction Homes, LLC is a multi-award-winning home builder recognized by the Greater Columbia Home Builders Association, with an established presence throughout the Columbia, South Carolina area. Our operations include residential homebuilding and land development, supporting projects through site work, land clearing, grading, erosion control, infrastructure development, and the construction of quality homes throughout the region. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a dependable and highly organized Construction Warehouse & Inventory Lead to independently manage our warehouse, construction supplies, equipment, and job-site material support. This is not a large distribution-center warehouse position. Our warehouse supports the day-to-day needs of a growing construction company. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the space, know what we have, know where it is, recognize what needs to be replenished, and make sure our field teams have the supplies and equipment they need to keep projects moving. Position Summary The Construction Warehouse & Inventory Lead is responsible for the day-to-day organization and operation of the company's warehouse and construction inventory. This position will independently manage incoming and outgoing supplies, tools, materials, and equipment; maintain accurate inventory records; receive and organize deliveries; prepare materials for active jobs; and deliver supplies and equipment to project sites throughout the Greater Columbia area. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, hands-on individual who does not need constant supervision to recognize what needs to be done. This person should enjoy keeping things organized, maintaining accurate inventory, solving logistical problems, and supporting field teams in a fast-paced construction environment. Success in this role requires someone who takes ownership of the warehouse and treats company tools, equipment, supplies, and materials as if they were their own. Key Responsibilities Independently manage the day-to-day organization and operation of the company warehouse. Maintain an accurate inventory of construction materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and other company-owned items. Track materials, tools, and equipment as they are received into and issued out of the warehouse. Receive vendor and supplier deliveries and verify quantities and items against applicable purchase orders, packing slips, or other documentation. Inspect incoming materials and equipment for obvious damage, shortages, or discrepancies and promptly communicate concerns. Properly label, organize, store, and rotate warehouse inventory. Maintain designated storage locations so materials, tools, and equipment can be quickly identified and located. Prepare, stage, and load materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed for active construction projects. Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Land Development personnel, and other team members to identify upcoming job-site material and equipment needs. Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between actual inventory and company records. Identify excess, obsolete, damaged, or unusable inventory and communicate findings to leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Keep loading, storage, and work areas clear and accessible. Perform basic visual inspections of tools and equipment and communicate repair or replacement needs. Help ensure company vehicles, tools, materials, and equipment are properly maintained and cared for. Assist with receiving, documenting, and coordinating rental equipment when applicable. Maintain accurate documentation associated with deliveries, inventory movement, equipment assignments, and material transfers. Support construction and land-development teams with logistical needs and special projects as required. Perform other warehouse, inventory, delivery, and operational support duties based on business needs. Required Qualifications Previous professional experience in warehouse operations, construction material handling, inventory control, logistics, building supply, construction support, or a related position.
