Warehouse Receiver Gardena, CA $21.00 per hour Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing refrigerated and frozen products while ensuring inventory accuracy, product quality, and compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Receive inbound shipments following company procedures and food safety standards Verify product counts against purchase orders and bills of lading Inspect products for quality issues such as damage, mold, freezer burn, or packaging concerns Report discrepancies including shortages, overages, or damaged items Safely unload deliveries and assign dock doors for incoming shipments Store products in designated warehouse locations Support outbound shipping activities including picking, labeling, checking, and loading orders Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, wrappers, and transporters Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and food safety regulations Perform additional warehouse duties as needed Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of warehouse experience , preferably in food distribution, cold storage, or regulated environments Experience with receiving, product inspection, and inventory control Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification Familiarity with purchase orders, bills of lading, and receiving documentation Preferred Skills Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic math skills for counting and verifying shipments Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally with assistance Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing on/off equipment Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen warehouse environments Work Environment This position works in a warehouse setting with refrigerated and frozen storage areas . Employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures, warehouse equipment, and loading dock activity. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
