This position involves loading and unloading shipments, moving packages and materials, organizing freight, and preparing items for delivery. This is an entry-level opportunity, and previous warehouse, moving, or transportation experience is not required. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active environment. Responsibilities Load and unload packages, freight, boxes, pallets, and other materials Move items safely between trucks, storage areas, and designated staging locations Sort and organize shipments according to delivery requirements Verify package counts, labels, and basic shipment information Prepare outgoing freight for scheduled pickup and delivery Arrange items inside trucks and staging areas efficiently Use hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and other basic equipment as needed Inspect packages and freight for visible damage Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labeled items Assist with receiving and organizing incoming shipments Keep loading docks, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized Follow proper lifting techniques and workplace safety procedures Communicate with drivers and team members regarding daily priorities Assist with general warehouse and transportation tasks when needed Perform other loading, unloading, and material-handling duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required Ability to safely lift and move packages and freight Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work Good attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Reliable attendance and punctuality Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment About the Position The Loader/Unloader plays an important role in keeping transportation and freight operations running smoothly. Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
