Bristol, CT Job Details Full-time From $27 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Customer communication Preventive maintenance Customer service Mechanical repair Forklift High school diploma or GED Driver's License Warehouse experience Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Overview Simiron is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Equipment Service & Warehouse Technician to support equipment repair and service needs within an assigned market while also assisting with day-to-day warehouse operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and is interested in developing specialized technical skills within the concrete surface preparation and coatings industry. Simiron will provide opportunities for the selected individual to attend manufacturer and technical training programs, including training on Simiron, Lavina, Bartell, and other equipment lines . The Technician will become a local resource for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing equipment for Simiron locations and customers within their assigned market. When equipment service and repair work are not required, the employee will support normal warehouse and branch operations. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair surface preparation and related equipment. Attend manufacturer and technical training programs to develop expertise in the repair and maintenance of Lavina, Bartell, Simiron, and other equipment. Serve as a technical equipment resource within the assigned market. Perform preventative maintenance and identify equipment issues before they result in major failures. Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding equipment condition, required repairs, parts, and estimated completion timelines. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Maintain an organized repair area and properly manage tools, equipment, and replacement parts. Assist with receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory, transfers, and other warehouse responsibilities when repair volume allows. Load and unload products and equipment as needed. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Support other branch and operational needs as assigned. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment repair. Previous experience repairing industrial equipment, power tools, small engines, automotive equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery preferred. Willingness and ability to attend manufacturer training and become proficient across multiple equipment lines. Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites within the assigned market when needed. Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repair solutions. Comfortable working in both a technical repair and warehouse environment. Ability to safely lift, move, and handle equipment and materials associated with the position. Forklift experience is preferred; training may be provided. Strong organizational and communication skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to assist with broader operational responsibilities when equipment repair demand is limited. Pay:
From $27.00 per hour
