Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer / Parts & Shop Support team member to assist with the daily operations of our shop. The primary responsibility of this position will be driving to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and equipment as needed. When not making deliveries or pickups, this position will provide general support around the shop, including maintaining shop cleanliness, organizing the parts room, assisting with painting and touch-up work, moving materials, and completing other general labor tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and willing to take on a variety of tasks to help keep the shop operating efficiently. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Parts Pickup & Delivery Pick up and deliver parts, supplies, tools, equipment, and materials from vendors, suppliers, customers, and other locations. Safely load, transport, unload, and organize parts and materials. Verify parts and quantities against purchase orders, invoices, or delivery paperwork. Ensure parts and materials are delivered to the appropriate location in a timely manner. Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles used for deliveries. Follow all company driving and safety policies. Communicate with the shop and management regarding pickup and delivery status, delays, or issues. Shop Cleanliness & Organization Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Sweep, mop, remove trash, and perform general housekeeping duties. Keep work areas, walkways, storage areas, and equipment clean and orderly. Assist with cleanup following repairs, projects, maintenance, and other shop activities. Help maintain proper storage and organization of tools, supplies, and materials. Parts Room Organization Maintain an organized and accessible parts room. Receive, label, and properly store incoming parts and materials. Assist with inventory organization and counting as needed. Keep shelves, bins, and storage areas clearly organized. Identify misplaced, damaged, or missing parts and report issues to management. Assist shop personnel in locating parts and supplies when needed. Painting & General Shop Maintenance Perform basic painting, touch-up, and preparation work as assigned. Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and other basic preparation. Assist with maintaining shop equipment, fixtures, storage areas, and general facility appearance. Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks within the employee's skill level. Assist with moving, loading, unloading, and positioning equipment and materials. Perform other general labor duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Dependable transportation to and from work. Ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Ability to lift, carry, and move parts, materials, and equipment as required. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to perform a variety of physical and general labor tasks. Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments safely and efficiently. Basic knowledge of hand tools and general shop practices is a plus. Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, automotive, mechanical, construction, or maintenance environment is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry parts, tools, supplies, and other materials. Ability to safely load and unload items from vehicles. Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks as needed. Ability to work in a shop environment where exposure to dust, dirt, noise, paint, and other typical shop conditions may occur. Work Environment This position involves a combination of driving, outdoor activity, and work inside a shop environment . The employee should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions while making deliveries and performing physical tasks around the shop. Additional Responsibilities This position is intended to be a flexible support role. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed based on the needs of the shop and company. The ability and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks is an important part of this position. The goal of this position is to keep parts and materials moving efficiently while helping maintain a clean, organized, safe, and productive shop environment.

Pay:

$16.00
