Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Yardsman to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing materials, operating heavy equipment safely, and ensuring efficient warehouse distribution processes. Duties Operate various types of material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo forklifts to load, unload, and move goods within the yard and warehouse Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving tasks using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory control Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse operations Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation Manage inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, organizing materials, and maintaining accurate records of materials handled Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety protocols and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for shipment or storage, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are used for heavy lifting Experience Previous experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar heavy machinery is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and logistics procedures Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes including barcode scanning for logistics purposes Experience in warehouse supervision or team coordination is a plus but not required Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments including OSHA regulations Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely with basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements Prior work experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment is advantageous Join us as a Yardsman and become an essential part of our team dedicated to efficient logistics operations! $23.59 - $28.41 per hour
