We are looking for a Yard Helper to assist with the safe loading and unloading of material, maintaining consistent inventory levels, manage workload and follow organizational initiatives throughout the yard.

Responsibilities:

Handle loading and receiving of products in the safest, most efficient, manner possible Accept load sheets (pick tickets) from the dispatcher and coordinate with the Yard Supervisor the proper trailer and tractor to use Load required items on the pick ticket Communicate to dispatch any changes from pick ticket Transport all finished goods to their proper place and stacked safely, by forklift Maintain the yard inventory in an organized manner, on a daily basis, by making sure all goods are stored in the proper place; inform the Yard Manager or dispatcher of any low inventories detected Carry out employment duties in accordance with applicable safety rules and procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Skills:

Strong organizational skills. Persistence and perseverance to meet goals. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Ability to work with inventory control devices

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old Forklift experience Be able to read a tape measure

Working Conditions:

The physical demands of the position require an individual to have the ability to bend, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and be able to lift and/or move between 50 - 100 pounds. Exposure to the elements - heat, cold, rain, wind, snow

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
