Garden Center Supervisor/Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join our dynamic team at Luxury Garden Center. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks around the garden center, ensuring that the facility remains clean, organized, and stocked with products. This position requires physical labor, a strong work ethic, and a passion for plants and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities:

Stocking & Organizing:

Assist with unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring products are properly stocked on shelves and display areas.

Customer Assistance:

Provide exceptional customer service by helping customers locate products, answering questions, and offering product recommendations when necessary.

Maintenance & Cleanliness:

Keep the garden center clean and orderly by sweeping, mopping, and maintaining tidy work areas. Ensure that plants and products are well-maintained and presentable.

Plant Care:

Assist in watering, pruning, and maintaining the health of plants and flowers. Assist with repotting and planting as needed.

Loading & Unloading:

Help load and unload customer orders, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.

Equipment Handling:

Operate garden equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other tools as needed for daily tasks.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating equipment, handling materials, and working in the garden center.

Other Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned by the Garden Center Supervisor or Manager to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in a general labor or retail environment is a plus, especially in a garden center or landscaping setting. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of basic gardening principles is helpful but not required; training will be provided. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for long periods.
