Job Description

The warehouse/yard worker reports directly to the operations manager.
Responsibilities include:
Loading company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices, which require lifting, and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials. Pulling orders for deliveries. Unloading company vehicles. Prepare customer orders by collecting and retrieving merchandise/materials from storage areas in the yard. Occasionally ride with the driver to the job site to help unload. Ensure that inventory is consistently up to date and notify the supervisor of shortages and restocking needs. Treat customers, contractors, and team members in a courteous, considerate, and cooperative manner. Participate in the cleanliness of the facility during downtime, such as emptying trash bins, picking up lumber clubs, flat stocking, and any other related duties. Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and stock merchandise as necessary. Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures. Report customer complaints to the Operations Manager/Supervisor. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Basic math skills Basic reading skills Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Prior lumber yard experience is a plus Prior building materials experience is a plus Schedule Monday to Friday 7 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 7 AM to 12 PM (subject to change based on volume)
