We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused General Labor Technician to support daily operations related to non-hazardous waste processing and disposal. This role involves operating industrial equipment, sorting various waste materials, and assisting with onsite household hazardous waste collection events. Ideal candidates are hands-on, comfortable with physical work, and interested in growing into a driver role. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation & Processing  Learn and operate industrial equipment such as: o Industrial shredder o Extractor o Compactor o Aerosol puncture device o Drum washer  Assist with de-packaging, sorting, and processing consumer products for disposal or recycling  Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment following company guidelines Material Sorting & Handling  Sort non-hazardous waste materials, including: o Batteries o Light bulbs o Household paints o Consumer goods and packaging  Properly stage materials for processing, storage, or transport  Load and unload trucks using hand carts and barrel carts Customer Site Support  Occasionally participate in Household Hazardous Waste Collection events at customer locations  Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and the public  Follow all safety procedures and collection protocols Work Environment & Physical Requirements  Must be comfortable working in both hot and cold environments (indoor and outdoor work)  Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and moving of materials  Ability to safely handle drums, barrels, and containers with provided equipment Qualifications  Non-smoking workplace requirement  Valid driver's license strongly preferred  Ability to lift 50+ lbs with proper technique  Mechanical aptitude or previous experience with industrial equipment is a plus  Strong attention to safety and detail  Reliable attendance and positive attitude
