The list of Duties and Responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Prepare necessary paperwork (packing slips, bill of lading, etc.) needed to ship product. Prepare various labels needed for product and packages (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) as needed. Communicate with trucking companies regarding pickup schedules, size of load, ship date, etc. This requires strong organizational skills along with telephone and internet proficiency. Work closely with Production Control and Customer Service regarding the status of orders, order changes, ship dates and any other pertinent information needed. Act as backup in other departments as time and skill allows. Compile data for quality assurance, scrap management identification, continuous improvement projects, and prepare the needed reports compiling shipment information for year-end shipments and reports. Must obtain DOT Hazardous Materials certification. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while achieving accurate results. Attention to detail is critical. Assist in taking inventories as necessary. Work overtime as business needs require. Perform other duties as assigned and directed. Comply with Strongwell guidelines, rules, and procedures as contained in the Employee Handbook and miscellaneous memos.
