- This entry-level position involves working on a production line in a facility with rotating duties.
Responsibilities include packaging hardened blocks of laundry detergent and chemical blocks into boxes, stacking boxes on pallets, putting caps on tubs, and building boxes. The role offers opportunities for advancement to operate machines and progress into a chemical mixing role, emphasizing internal promotions.
- Responsibilities
- + Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
+ Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
+ Record numbers of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets.
+ Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
+ Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
+ Assemble product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber.
+ Load and unload ship cargo using winches and other hoisting devices.
+ Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
+ Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
- Essential Skills
- + Verbal and written communication skills. + Analytical and problem-solving ability. + Team player and detail-oriented. + Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + High school diploma or GED required. + 0-2 years experience required. + Prior chemical environment production experience preferred. + Packaging experience. + Ability to lift 15lbs consistently throughout the day. + Ability to wear steel toe boots.

- Work Environment
- The work environment is very clean with the production area located on the bottom floor of a three-floor facility. The production runs from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with breaks at 9:00am, lunch, and 2:00pm. Employees work six hours on production with the first and last hours dedicated to cleaning and training.

- This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
